Happy New Year!
We spent New Years Eve in Atlanta, visiting with some of our best friends, Holly and Kirk, and their daughter Charlotte, who is seven months older than Ryan. We hung out at their house, played with the babes, put the kiddos to bed, changed into our pajamas and then had dinner, drinks and football/Wii time (Wii Fit with the balance board is an endless source of entertainment after a few beers). We watched the ball drop (just barely) and then crashed. It was the best NYE I have had in YEARS.
It's crazy to think how much the four of us have changed. We met in college - 10 years ago (OMG) and we have gone from Holly and I being roommates, to all of us getting married the same year (2002), to buying houses, tailgating at many, many Clemson games, going on vacation together, to becoming parents in the same year (2009!). We've had ups and downs, but have become stronger, better friends because of it. I am so, so glad we have.
I really wish we lived closer.
